1996-97 Genuine Article Roy Rodgers Autograph #’d /7500
This is the card that killed Genuine Article. Not only was Roy Rogers‘ name printed wrong on the card, but so was his autograph misspelled. Roy Rogers was signed “Roy Rodgers” proving that this Genuine Article was a forgery. Once this was discovered, let’s just say no one was answering the phone at Genuine Article and the company eventually went AWOL. This brought into question of how many other cards were forgeries.
